Even minor precipitation during roof repairs can lead to internal damage, potentially affecting ceiling tiles, electronics, equipment and interior finishes.
Operational disruption
When active work areas aren't adequately protected, changing weather conditions can cause delays, extend project timelines and increase labour costs.
Tarp failure
Traditional tarps can be vulnerable to ponding, tearing and wind uplift. When they fail, the temporary protection can become the source of the problem it's intended to prevent.
Safety hazards
Loose or wind-affected covers can create additional hazards for roofing crews, including trip risks and visual obstructions when working around roof edges.
The solution: Safe Seal Wrap Weather-Shield enclosure
For this project, Safe Seal Wrap was used to create a localised, drum-tight enclosure over the active work zone, providing a controlled layer of weather protection while work continued.

The enclosure was supported by a purpose-built scaffold structure designed around the active rooftop work area.
Heat-welded seamless barrier
Safe Seal Wrap was heat-welded to create a secure, continuous protective enclosure around the work zone.
Integrated drainage
The enclosure incorporated drainage considerations to help manage water and prevent the issues associated with water pooling on temporary covers.
Climate consistency
By creating a more controlled working environment, the enclosure helps reduce exposure to changing weather conditions during the project.
